How to choose a hotel in Athens

There is a wide range of hotels, from luxurious five-star hotels with spa facilities to budget hostels. Here are some tips on choosing the best hotel in Athens.

Stay in the city center

Most hotels are concentrated in central regions of the city, such as Plaka, Monastiraki, Thission, Syntagma square, and Panepistimiou Avenue. These areas are within walking distance from the Acropolis and other archaeological sites and museums. They also give good access to metro and bus stations and have many restaurants, shops, and bars.
